Social Justice Ministry

Social Justice Ministry at the Universalist Church of West Hartford

We meet on the 1st Monday of each month at 7 PM in the church Parlor. Drop in to learn more!

The Social Justice Ministry is a lay-led group of church members who are passionate about social justice. Grounded in our belief in Unitarian Universalist principles – in particular, the inherent worth and dignity of all persons – we believe in the importance of taking our faith into action.

Our role in the church is to mobilize members to learn, connect, show up, give, and do – as reflected in our logo. Over the years, we have worked to provide programming and take action around a variety of issues, including racial injustice, women’s empowerment and supporting our democracy. We offer the congregation a variety of opportunities to do this work as we strive to promote justice and equity for all.

We welcome you to join us on this journey. We’ll help you connect with the issues that interest you. For more information, drop in on our monthly meetings or contact us.
