VOTE CONNECTICUT – NOV 3, 2020
General Election Voting Guide
In 2020 all eligible voters in Connecticut are able to vote with an absentee ballot, but you must apply.
In September 2020 the Secretary of State will mail an application for an absentee ballot to every registered voter in Connecticut.
If you do not receive your application by September 30th, download the application or call Secretary of State’s office (860-509-6200) and request an application.
When you receive the application, fill it out, checking “COVID 19” as the reason for absentee voting.
Return the application ASAP to your local town clerk’s office.
Your town clerk will mail each applicant a ballot for the 2020 election.
Complete your ballot carefully following the directions, especially about using the inner and outer envelopes. You must sign it. Mail to your local town clerk’s office (no stamp required) or place in the ballot box located near your municipal offices.
ALL BALLOTS MUST BE RECEIVED BY THE TOWN CLERK’S OFFICE BY 8:00 PM on ELECTION DAY, NOV. 3.
You may choose to vote in-person at your local polling place. Connecticut polling sites are carefully sanitized. Masks and social distancing are enforced.
