Children

Nursery

0 – 3 YEARS

At least two adults (one consistent; one rotating) operate the nursery on Sunday mornings, welcoming our youngest children into a caring and safe environment of “free play.” Parents are asked to drop off and pick up their children prior to and directly following worship. The nursery is located on the same floor as the sanctuary, in room 126.

Church School

PRE-K – K

Church School for Pre-K and Kindergarten is a caring place where we make friends and experience a sense of wonder and respect for the world around us. We become familiar with our space and the rhythm of our Sunday mornings together, sharing stories, arts and crafts, circle time, free play, and snack. Additionally, we are introduced to Unitarian Universalist principles. We learn that as Unitarian Universalists we are welcoming to all people, we care for others, create a fair and peaceful world, love the earth, and are true to ourselves. Sing and Learn

GRADES 1-5

Children in grades 1 through 5 are invited to participate in a new church school program. “Sing and Learn” combines traditional UU religious education with choral singing. The program, led by our children’s choral director Patrice Fitzgerald, happens Sundays, 10 to 11 a.m. Concluding each structured unit, children participate in worship, sharing their learning through song. Families are asked to arrive early one scheduled Sunday per month for a musical warmup before the service.
